  • New Hope received two awards from USA Today’s 10Best Reader’s Choice Awards (#5 for Best Small Town in the Northeast and #7 for Best Small Town Culture Scene). New Hope has long been an artistic hub with a lively theater community, thanks mainly to the Bucks County Playhouse. Over the decades, countless famous actors and actresses have appeared on its stage.
  • World Atlas named Doylestown one of “The 10 Best Towns to Retire in PA.” Many of the towns on the list earned recognition because of their lower costs, but Doylestown made the list for a different reason — a high-end retirement lifestyle built around culture, safety, and daily quality of life. Doylestown has a compact, walkable downtown with numerous museums and a theater within a few blocks of each other. There is a large, active calendar of events, so retirees have somewhere to go or something to do almost every day. Doylestown Hospital has ranked among the very best in the state every year since 2016, which is very important to retirees.
  • Philadelphia Magazine named two local towns as “The Best of the Best” in the area: Riegelsville, located in the northern part of the county, is a very quaint town. It is home to the famous Riegelsville Inn, which has been in operation since 1838 and is a favorite among locals and visitors alike. Quakertown, also located in Upper Bucks, is known for its fun, small-town vibes, rich local history, and great public market.
  • World Atlas named three towns in the county among PA’s “12 Most Adorable Places to Visit.” 1 - Doylestown. In addition to the above, Doylestown has a wide variety of unique shops in the downtown area. 2 - New Hope. In addition to the above, New Hope has long been known for its unique shops and fabulous restaurants. 3 - Yardley. Located close to the Delaware River and its wonderful views, Yardley is very historic, with a plethora of incredible estates and other beautiful natural areas.
  • Niche’s 2026 “Best Places to Live” in America ranked Newtown at #25 in a ranking of 2,230 cities and 18,000 suburbs, neighborhoods, and towns! Newtown received an “A+” rating for raising a family and an “A” rating for nightlife, public schools, crime, and safety.
  • Islands named a Bucks County park as “1 of 5 Most Underrated Nature Destinations” in PA. Ringing Rock Park is a sprawling, 7-acre field of massive boulders. It produces amazing, clear, bell-like tones when struck. People bring a hammer; some rocks ring sharply and some are silent — that’s part of the fun. The boulders consist of dense diabase formed roughly 200 million years ago. The best part is that scientists have not definitively settled the question of why some rocks ring and others do not.
  • Consumer Affairs ranked one local town at #3 on their list of “Best Places to Move” in PA. Consumer Affairs used five categories for their rankings: affordability, safety, economic strength, healthcare and education, and quality of life. Levittown was the town honored as the third best in the state. Levittown had the third-lowest crime rate at 1.1 crimes per 1,000 residents, ranked second economically with a 4.1% job growth rate and the fourth-lowest poverty rate. Education-wise, Levittown ranked eighth, with 93% of residents holding a high school diploma, and in healthcare, Levittown ranked sixth, with 30.3 healthcare professionals per 1,000 residents.

This list is not even complete, as these are just some of the major recognitions that Bucks County towns have been receiving. No wonder the area is so popular!
